The Los Rosales Mine Foundation was an inspiration of Daniela and Andrés Rosas. The Foundation was created to address the needs of the mine and surrounding communities in Puno, Peru. Listening to the stories of kids walking many miles just to listen to a radio program to learn for less than 1 hour because their school was closed due to the lack of teachers and now because of the Covid-19 pandemic was eye opening. By researching more about the area and inspired by this story, they learned that Puno had the highest childhood anemia rates in the country of Peru. They pulled together resources with family and friends to further research these topics and come up with realistic solutions to help them. A Wifi assessment for the community, a battle against anemia, better genetic cattle breeding options and a brick business are examples of their research and involvement with the mining community to help find solutions to some of their most urgent needs like: Education, Health and Sustainability. Their further goal is to assist the community in implementing these solutions in a self reliant manner. Please help us to give a hand to the beautiful people of Puno in Peru.
